Abhishek Sharman, Founder and Managing Director of Carpediem Capital, has built his career on the principle that disciplined capital deployment can drive meaningful returns. With over 20 years of experience in private equity, he has focused on identifying growth-oriented opportunities and building resilient businesses.
Previously, Abhishek was a Principal at India Equity Partners (IEP), a USD 350 million private equity fund investing across multiple sectors and strategies in India. At IEP, he led early-growth investments in the consumer and services sectors, a strategy that contributed to the development of two companies that later achieved unicorn status.
Before IEP, Abhishek worked at SUN Group, managing investments across markets such as India and Russia, with oversight of a portfolio valued at USD 2 billion.
At Carpediem Capital, he focuses on unit economics, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. Abhishek holds degrees from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
