Vinod Sawhny is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in building and scaling businesses across telecommunications, retail, and consumer durables. His diverse expertise and strategic insights have been pivotal in driving success for some of India’s most prominent organizations. He now shares his learnings with early stage startups providing handholding, guidance and the occasional push to catalyse their businesses towards scale and productivity. Vinod spent over a decade with the Bharti Group in key leadership roles, including Member of the Bharti Airtel Management Board, Joint President – Airtel Enterprises, and CEO – Airtel Mobility. Vinod was the Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Communications. He also served as Managing Director of Spice Communications and contributed significantly during his 16 years with Godrej GE Appliances.
Vinod holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and a B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
